Do we ever start new books or do we just repeat the same chapters in different forms?

In many circumstances people assume the show of their lives can continue without the supporting cast, but - can it? When the plot line is so interesting, when somewhere along the way - you started to give away some of the writing to actors to ad-lib, and hey - they’re pretty good at it.

What does the show even look like without the cast? Can you fill the role with someone similar?

WELL my friends, if there is anything I feel compelled to do with frequency - it’s to show you. To close the book.

And then to write a new story. From scratch.

Where did 2026 go? It’s already mid-September, but there’s still some time for a couple more songs. My next one is called 25 Years in 35 Minutes. Here’s a little bit about it.

It’s been a big few weeks, with Trains, Dinosaurs, and Hotel Corridors and Did You Think Of Me? now out in the world.

These songs hold anger, disappointment and sadness, but also the desire to be heard and witnessed. We’re not always given permission to express those feelings—especially as women—but perhaps there’s power in doing so anyway.

So here they are: honest, raw and unapologetic. I’m here. I felt this. I deserve to be seen.

I’ve been reflecting on the past few months with lots of gratitude—especially now that Play Pretend, Hunter Gathered, and Starseed are out and you’ve streamed them over 15k times, with 100k views on the videos. Hearing your thoughts and celebrating these milestones has been surreal, and yes, there’s merch now too!

Alt-pop artist Vyvyan Hammond returns with her third single of 2025, “Starseed,” featuring Clare Bowen (Nashville, now on Netflix). Out November 11, the song is a luminous exploration of self-acceptance, identity, and rediscovering one’s truth after a lifetime of feeling “other.”
