Vyvyan Hammond has been writing songs for as long as she can remember. “When I was four, I’d ride around on my BMX making up songs in the bush, singing to the trees,” she says. “It was just how I made sense of the world.”

After years of writing quietly and relentlessly, Vyvyan stepped into the spotlight with her debut single Play Pretend, released on August 29. Her second single, Hunter Gathered, followed on October 10, continuing to carve out her unique sonic identity. Now, with her third single Starseed set to launch on November 11, Vyvyan is steadily building toward her debut full-length album, Lovers Gonna Love, Haters Gonna Watch, due in early 2026.

For Vyvyan, the timing isn’t random. “So much has shifted in the world lately—it pushed me to stop waiting. I’ve got something to say, and I want to find the people who need to hear it.”

Originally from Sydney, her music is steeped in raw feeling, lyrical honesty, and a sense of place shaped by a life spent observing, questioning, and creating. This is just the beginning—but it’s been a long time coming.
